let’s travel to Southeast Asia for a flavorful noodle dish. Pad Thai is a national dish of Thailand enjoyed worldwide for its blend of rice noodles, protein like shrimp, and zesty sweet/sour sauce. Get ready for this iconic recipe:
👩🍳 Pad Thai 🇹🇭
Ingredients:
- 8 oz rice noodles 🍜
- 1/2 lb shrimp, chicken or tofu, sliced 🍤
- 3 cloves garlic, minced 🧄
- 2 eggs 🥚
- 1⁄4 cup peanuts, crushed 🥜
- 3 tbsp tamarind paste 🍋
- 2 tbsp fish sauce 🐠
- 2 tbsp brown sugar 🍯
- 1 tbsp chili garlic sauce 🌶️
- 1 cup bean sprouts 🥦
- Lime 🍋, cilantro 🌿, chili flakes 🔥
Instructions:
- Soak noodles until soft, drain and set aside. 🍜
- Scramble eggs and slice protein. 🍳
- Whisk sauces and sugar in wok over medium. 🥘
- Add noodles, protein and garlic. Toss to coat. 🥢
- Remove and top with eggs, sprouts, peanuts and herbs. 🥗
